Hey guys. So my Cs was polluted with myriad auto-connects and banners and crap so instead of weeding it all out I just reinstalled. So I'm having to re-download everything when I connect to servers. Unfortunately, every time I try to connect to a BsK Server, right after I supposedly download everything (Deagle mod C4 mod etc.) I get this error in console:

ERROR: couldn't open new .hpk, check access rights to custom.hpk

Then if I try reconnect it trys to download everything all over again and then the error message yet again. Not gonna lie, don't know what to do about this. I could try deleting "Custom.hpk" in my cs folder? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hm... which server are you connecting to? If you are just connecting to Classic then it should only download that AMX-MOD sounds and anything AMX, but if you are connecting to Official, Dust2, and Zombie, then your CS will download all the files that is needed to play in the maps that are in the servers. Also, the only banner you should have is the BsK banner, unless you go to other servers that has banner on there servers.

Very true, I can connect to Classic. But all other servers I get that error message. I've tweeked with my cstrike folder a bit to see if I could fix it but it's just not happening. Also, I can see our deagle mod, c4 mod, and knife mod files all in there proper place yet when I try to connect to Official or Dust 24/7 it still downloads and then crashes. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Hm.... I think our R&D guy, @$pirit, would be of better assistance in this situation or some of our more experience personnel.
