I hope I am not reviving an old thread. I've been away for some time. First I had nasty flu, then been busy with work and some other stuff.
Now to the BSOD topic. No need to be afraid of bsods. Its not scary and not always does it mean something irreversible happened to a PC. Its just a fail-safe mechanism to prevent total system failure as a result of some faulty component. I deal with BSODs on daily basis when i overclock my machine to test it limits. In fact I've had as many as 30 BSOD before I found stable lowest possible voltage for overclocked CPU.What I mean is any ub-normal motherboard signal can result in BSOD. It can be hard drive,it can be spike in CPU voltage,it can be faulty RAM stick,it can be faulty Power supply,my point is anything can result in BSOD.
What you need ,and anyone who reads this (in case it happens to him/her in the future), is to get some blue screen error reader (They are free, small, handy programs) and just open it after bsod. Then simply google your error code if you don't know codes and read what component or driver this error/errors belong to.
On the other hand if you can't boot into windows, but can boot into bios,it is most likely a hard drive. BUT: Hard drives very very rarely blue screen. However SSD or Solid State Drive can BSOD more often since its based on NAND technology similar to RAM.
Most of the time if you can boot into windows after bsod, most likely memory controller (RAM) was result of blue screen.
I know its a lot to translate in google for spanish speakers, but there is no easier way to explain in plain regular "Joe" language.
As for your laptop not being able to play CS with higher fps, well as others mentioned your integrated graphic chip just can't keep up with the bandwidth demand and can't render fast enough when server gets over 10 players. BTW you don't need graphics Options for non steam. All commands for graphics quality steam CS has, can be done with console commands.
Man that's a lot to read.I got carried away. Sorry, I am too hyped on coffee. No need to waste money on PC repair shops lol. Learn how to fix PC yourself. It is not as scary as it seems and very easy to actually do with google's help. Just for new-comers can be a little time consuming at first.
