Gaming Headsets

Hey everyone,

I'm in the process of looking for a good gaming headset for PC. I have Turtle Beach's for my XBOX 360 and they work great, but they wont work for my PC. I'm looking for a great headset with mic, specifically for CS:1.6 and CS:GO. Price range is $100-$200.

Genius, i have a Genius and that work very good to cs 1.6, l4d2, i think cs:go, but if you are finding a good experience buy this genius.

Thats is so good, and the Beats are good too, but, thats not really for games.

Is there a certain model of the Genius brand headset you are referring to? Also, does it have Dolby Surround Sound?

I personally think that almost all headphones can become gaming headsets in that if you get used to one pair of headset, it will like an extension of your ears in that you will be only be able to play good with that pair of headset. I personally have a Beats and that it has worked out for me pretty good, but it's mainly a headphone, so I have to use my old Microsoft headset's mic for my voice communication. So, yeah, try to find one that you feel the most comfortable with and get use to it as quickly as possible in that if you don't, then your gameplay will suffer.

Logitech g230, they are very nice headsets, not so expensive and they are good

I agree, i use the ipod earbuds and they work very nice for me.

Well, I decided on a set. After driving around store-to-store all morning, I realized my best option was to order online. Walmart, Staples, and Best Buy all have a horrible selection of PC gaming headsets in-store. Although some are universal, most of the gaming headsets in-stores are geared for XBOX and Playstation.

After a lot of research I've decided to order a Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Gaming Headset from Amazon.

Just wondering about the headset that you have ordered, I would like to know whether or not the head can be plugged in when the battery runs out or do you have to wait for it to recharge before you can use it again.

I havn't received them yet, should get them by mail Monday. Here is what the Creative website states.

"Up to 16 hours battery life. Incredible sound deserves an equally incredible battery life. Play for up to 16 hours at a time with a single charge. You can recharge your headset even while in use, so you'll never need to put your game on hold."
