Look at the ban list and you will see that 90% of the names are from latin countries. Anyone who doesn't fall under the above mentioned is more than welcomed to play in Banished Servers.

So in short: would you rather have players ACTUALLY PLAYING in your server..keeping it active, while SACRIFICING some language differences. (sorry for the CAPS thought some exaggeration was necessary)
OR..

Avoid the ONLY player base you have, and have NO ONE at all..

Understood.. I figured you only had 2 options:

Keep the server up with a player base you don't whole-heartedly agree with, or just pull the plug and shut it down before it turns into something you'd rather not agree with.

[i]As I mentioned above, Its not about language differences. Its about the effort that community members have to put to make favorable conditions for players who give nothing back.

In short: I would prefer to shut this place down, instead of letting it become something that we can't even recognize.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by this, but I humbly assume, that what your saying is that it's not even worth it at this point to put in any effort into making people's gaming experience better, when the people themselves are the problem; who give nothing back in return. I don't blame you.

When I first introduced myself into the community (not too long ago)
I saw and laid out the problem first-hand. You have a good player-base (miscommunications aside) but the never-ending cycle of hackers ruin it for everyone. I understand you have a system for reporting hackers, but because of the infinite amount of them, it proves to be not as effective AND as you said,is not worth the community members' efforts.

My solution was:

Being someone who was really active in your server, that I could have helped significantly. What better way to tackle the problem by dealing with it first-hand? You wouldn't have the community members be burdened with the processing and dealing of the hackers, as much. I know currently im just a face In the crowd(mind you we never even met or have had a conversation, probably the first time here) but I know first-hand how to be an admin. And I think the first step into restoring your server's status, is to have people like me, who are very active and fair, supervise the server .

But all this sound like hindsight now, and is probably too late.
I just enjoyed playing in your server, and i'd hate to see it go because if it does, then I think its time for me to move on too :p

I will not accept anyone in admin position, unless they are tested before. you can buy admin or you can be a member and then prove your worth. I would recommend taking the first option, as $6 bucks is nominal amount for something that you wanna help improve.

My words represent the idea that someone like me grasps the problem, and is willing to go beyond in reviving a dying server. I understand my words don't hold much weight since we barely know each other.

As far as actions go.. Well, I don't know if it means much, but I've been ranked 1 on your server for about 5 consecutive times (when I started becoming a regular) . I think this alone represents my activity level. I have people who tell me they are my "fans," .. in Spanish .. lol. (Because of my exciting play style) And the fact that I'm even here now posting on your forums for a server that's dying, for a server your ready to pull the plug off, shows the fact that I care. The only reason I wanted admin in the first place, is that I saw the problem which you know.. are a lot of hackers from left and right, a server with a decent player-base deserves an admin who's fair, active, and is very keen in detecting hackers. I was happy just being a player until I saw this problem, I mean yeah..when you go in the server you honestly can't even communicate with virtually everyone, but at least they're not bots. Everyday after work, I would sign in into steam and I'd see that there would be atleast 15 players, or more, like 90% of the time I check playing. T'was okay, the main problem I saw was that there would be 1 or 2 hackers playing at a time, and they'd still be playing for like a map or two, ruining it for everyone. Thought I could've just typed in "amx_ban" Trollo and done.

Anyways..

If i were being charged 6 whole dollars to go beyond in reviving a server that's almost dead, I would choose not to. I don't mean to be rude.. honestly.. I think you should shed a little bit of happiness for just the fact that someone like me is even showing concern. I beg you to look into my perspective, it would almost be like the other way around: paying someone to bring your server back to life .

Sincerely I don't mean to bring about an argumentative nature, im just arguing my points, for the betterment of your community. If you were open to my judgement, I'd say you'd agree on some.. or all of them.

And lastly, you are on the verge of pulling the plug, wouldn't this might be a time to take some calcucated risks.

All in all, you are the boss, and it is totally up to you.
You could ask some of your members about me, Vz, Sakurai, Old-smith,etc.. at the very least they could vouch for my activity level, and me being legit.

edit: oh and.. most of your loyal players are from down south, which I think we both know, I'm just in-game now and I still see the same names and they all ping 200+. They ping 200+ and still choose to play in your server, I think that for one shows how loyal they are. (The ones that don't hack)

You take them out, your server would be 0/32, probably 9 times out of 10 :/ I know the server just got moved, it'll time some time to juice it out, but you just can't take this one fact away ----->

That without the Spanish community, there would be no community present at all. You know actually, when I first found your server, I thought it WAS ACTUALLY a Spanish community.And mostly all your members were Spanish. Then I found your forums..

I know you decided to move your server, in hopes to reducing dick-heads and hackers, but at the same time, you also reduced your loyal players. I think the problem could've been solved if you had active loyal server managers playing; kicking, banning the idiots while saving your loyal players.

I think you have some kind of misunderstanding. We are not going to close any servers in the near future. Hell, I can even promise you that servers aren't going anywhere till October.

I don't even play in Official because I don't like multijump. Is it fair that I'm paying for that server? You are not being charged anything. I just stated an option that is available to you. You can go towards the other option, but that's gonna take time. You keep using the word dead server, but its not dead and it won't be dead for months. Official Server team does have the option to recommend someone, if they really want to, but can you convince them to do so ?

Funny that you mention they all play with 200+ ping. Do you have any numbers in regards to how much ping increase they got? Fun fact is that internap distance between Atlanta and Chicago is around 10 ms. The players who had 210 ping before now have 220. Not that big of a difference to be honest and now we have the power to attract North West coast players as well. The only thing that has changed is that we are no longer using plugin to represent false ping.

I know where loyal players come from. That's why I specifically stated that before. Check the bold part.

Lets clear out a few thing. I'm not racist against someone's color and, if you think like that then talk to SM or above of this community.

I was under the impression that you are on the brink of "pulling the plug" as you say, and I thought I could be of some help by targeting direct issues.

I am not implying that you are biased to any color, if that's what you thought. I just wanted to bring out the fact that while trying to shave off the "unwanteds," you would be having "loose-ends" by also getting rid of the people you also want.

^^ But that would all be for naught since you just revealed the plug in for false ping. Mostly everyone, actually everyone except me.. is having a ping of 200-250+. I remember them before having less than 100. They are complaining (although once again, I can't understand anything except "mucho lag")

I understand the option being presented to me. But what I also want you to be open-minded about is this:

You would accept $6.00 off anyone to be admin, who knows who, (not sure if there's also a screening process for this, but I would imagine not the same for someone like me..)
Instead of giving it to someone who could truly be of help in the long-run, but no charge. Think of it as like an investment.

Think of it like this.. you are an owner to a venue, and theres 2 groups wanting to use it for a concert.

Group 1: will pay you $1000 to use it, BUT will serve you no real benefit because no-one likes them, and no-one would come see them again, and will give your venue a bad rep.
Group 2: will pay you nothing in return, BUT will be beneficial to you because everyone likes them, will attract more fans in the long run, and will give your venue a good rep.

Hope that made sense :p

sorry for that but you can't  be a server manager, is only for our admins,  we choose those indicated for those positions, i think that this could respond spirit. and as says spirit if you really want help you can buy the admin $6,we don't give admins who say they are "good", We only give admin to our members, never to registered and much less server manager. As i said before and as said spirit, you can buy the admin taht is for 1 month.

Complaining..., yall moved the server so they wouldn't play in there. Now they all play in there with 200+ ping... Where the ping kicker addon when you need it.


 

Rome wasn't built in one day. We just got the Chicago servers up yesterday and new IPs got no exposure at the moment. Unless you are willing to boost the servers for a month, which I'm not in favor of. I would suggest you to keep calm and wait for the time being. I don't like high pingers either, but its not like they just burst on scene just now! They been there, but plugin kept it hidden. I have no intention to add that plugin anymore.

what game will it be for the new servers?
 


 

The only one, that I can promise would be CSGO. We see lot of demand for that game, and it would be an easy transition for our player base. We are open to all suggestions at the moment, so feel free to propose.

We don't give out free admins like cookies to strangers. You gotta work hard for it. Or you can pay the fee and get it as soon as you want.

It sounds like you didn't really take into consideration as to why someone like me would be suggesting.

..Jokes aside, the point im trying to make here is that while I might not bring you financial benefits,
I'm someone who could be an asset to your server. I hope it's not rude to say that what your implying to say is that
I don't care if you help the server or not, as long as you pay me then fine.

But all is in good faith, no offense taken, and hopefully no offense given. It's your community, it's your rules.
I only was hoping for some open-mindedness. I know the main issue here is that, im someone out of the blue, asking for something.
