So, I was wondering if someone can explain how to silent run. I've tried binding the duck button to mwheel, but it doesn't really work :/

This is actually something I've never really mastered or figured out how to do perfectly, but the technique I use (not sure if its the only way) is a combination of mwheelup and ctrl.
I scroll up once and immediately hit ctrl after, and there's a moment where you're kind of gliding. I imagine there's a sweet spot where you repeat the cycle right at the end of the glide, and there's almost zero sound at close to a full speed run. What I most often use this for though, is to glide out around corners in a crouched position. It also messes with your hitbox and causes awpers to score a leg shot even though their crosshair will appear to be on your chest. (As a former awper in league play, this was enraging when it first became popular) Also, using mwheelup by itself creates a quicker "pop" than tapping ctrl, so I also use the wheel to peek over the top of boxes, leaving me vulnerable for a shorter period of time than using ctrl would Thanks given by: PinK_KusH

ahhh i know what ur talking about.... double ducking...
This is one of the hardest tricks a deathrun/knifing master can learn but i figured it out.... as far as i can see zion is pretty much right, its a combination of ctrl and mwheelup It messes with registration and is one of the most professional moves you can master as a knifer... ive been to multiple knife tournaments and have used this technique to win all of them ive never really explained it before but about a split second after you hit mwheelup hit the crouch key for about a second longer and repeat the cycle over again.... longest ive done this consecutively is to long a and back its especially hard to do in classic though.. it requires 100 air acceleration and 100 acceleration or more |
