[ISSUE] Microphone breaks in CS

#1
I've been having this issue for quite sometime, since this is the first forum I've been on in the past few years, I figure it's time to get some help.
My issue is with my microphone. When using +voicerecord in-game, there's a half of a second where my screen freezes and then begins it begins to record, although while recording, the microphone continuously cuts out every 2-4 seconds.
I've tried resetting my mic up through Windows and Cstrike, neither helps. My mic works fine through Skype, Xfire, Teamspeak, and Ventrilo, but for some reason with CS it bugs out.
Any suggestions?

Is your machine capable of handling cs properly? You say your game freezes, which makes me think, if you are running on old hardware.

Those specs look fine to be honest. Does your mic breaks in all servers or specific servers?

All servers. At first, I had the impression it had something to do with the server's voice codec, but it's like that with every server. I think it has something to do with CS. The only problem is that I don't know what's causing it. I've tried different CS commands, but can't figure anything out. I googled the problem as well and nothing showed up. Any suggestions?

what are your rates? A very low value can cause this issue as well.

Use this and see, if it makes difference.

rate 100000
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100

fps_max won't have any effect unless you use fps_override 1

I believe my rates are fine. Rates max value is 20000 on client side, anyways. Yes, I use fps_override. I like to set my net_graph 3, and get my fps, cmdrate, and updaterate as close to the same number as possible. There's no use in more cmdrate or updaterate than frames per second, it wouldn't register anyways. I don't believe this is the problem, although I can't figure out what it is
