Fate of Great Brition?

#1
Scottish independence could be just a few weeks away. What do you guys think of its consequences over the world. Great Briton have been a power house in Europe and throughout the world, but with the separation of Scotland, all that could end in a flash.

This can lead to a chain reaction and maybe we will see Ireland call for independence next. This is a huge deal, as Scotland will have no government, army, tax system and many other things, if they decided to go for freedom.

What are your thoughts on this?

Here is a documentary which explains the whole thing in detail.

Nothing is of certain yet. Hell, there might not be a positive vote, but England is gonna lose the most in any scenario. They are saying, if Scotland gets votes for independence then they will declare independence day in May, 2015.

It's too rushed, if you ask me. I'm pretty sure, if Scotland stays good as an independent nation, then northern Ireland would leave the crown as well. It would be better suited for them to stay as Ireland as a whole, rather than dividing their own nation for England's sake.

My biggest interest here would be the currency. Right now Pound Sterling is pretty strong, but if Scotland leaves the union, then they will form their own currency. Currency value is based on pure gold, so on that note. Scots will take claim some pure gold as their own, which previously fell under United Kingdom. Pound Sterling is gonna weaken and it could lead to a major crash in European stock exchange.

Um... political correction, Ireland is a different nation than UK and that it is not part of the UK. The "countries" that are in the UK are England, Scotland, North Ireland, and Wales.

Looks like they won't be separated from the Great Britain after all.

I still have my doubts. The revolt was held once, and the marginal win in the poll suggests that maybe in a few years, another uprising could happen.

I was referring to your first post.
