 Messi wasn't the best player. There were many players better than him like Mascherano, Robben, James, Kroos, Muller. Di Maria carried them to the final and unfortunately for them, i think he was the difference on the offensive side. i don't want to rub it in for my Brazilian friends here but i found one funny image
