Lol You never answered if you have any USB ports on your PC. If you have USB ports then you might be able to go by without PS2. But if you don't have usb and your keyboard port is broken,then you might have to buy new motherboard, which sucks.
Sometimes ps2 port glitches. DO this: Unplug keyboard and start your computer without keyboard. Wait for windows to load,then turn PC off again. While PC is off, plug in keyboard and start PC again. That should trigger correct registry key, if it was a glitch. IF still does not work,then you need new keyboard, preferably USB one, they are actually very cheap.
