Malaysian Airlines vs AirAsia

#1
Just as the investigation of AirAsia Flight 8501 is underway, I would like to hear from you guys on which airline did the best job of handling practically the same issue. In this disccussion we will be talking about Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 and AirAsia Flight 8501. Please give me opinion and let me know what you guys think.

As for me, I personally think that AirAisa did the best job in that they announnced that they have lost cocntact with the aircrafts within minutes and the given the immediate announcement, more assets can be mobilized to start the search and rescue operation of the flight. In this area, Malaysian Airlines pales in comparison in that they announced the lost contact message to the public and the people who are waiting for the flight to arrive minutes before the aircraft is suppose to land. I am personally disappointed at how Malaysian Airline handled the missing of MAS370.

From what i have heard around me and from what i have read so far on the internet, Malaysian airline incident could potentially be political and in essance the malaysian govt tried to cover up the story. Not saying that i am 100% correct, but its just a personal opinion. Its very hard to believe that in this day and age, an airliner can go missing. Regarding how they handled the situation, its easy to see that they didnt handle it in the best professional way they could. Too much ambiguity, too much delay in information spread, too many retracts, maybe thats why it was delayed that they didnt want to be wrong, but you never know. People have lost loved ones, till this date many are hopeful, many have given up not knowing what actually happened!
Its easy to blame the pilot after an incident like this where the pilot is dead and could not defend himself where big airline companies, govt can get away easily. Money $$ talks!

Air travel is supposed to be safe and yes, techonology has improved a lot but incidents/accidents are happening a lot these days, almost 3-5 months apart. Its very sad and heartbreaking!
